22nd Edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment, Instruments and Tools for the Metalworking Industry 

Metalloobrabotka 2022 is Russia’s major event that reflects all areas of the machine tool industry. Leading manufacturers and suppliers of metalworking equipment will introduce industry leaders and professionals to cutting-edge developments and effective solutions in the field of import substitution in the machine-building industry.

Metalloobrabotka is popular thanks to its high commercial efficiency and showcase that demonstrates a great potential for the development of the metalworking industry in Russia.

Industry professionals will learn about new products and global trends, find suppliers, generate new business contacts, and conclude lucrative contracts. A diverse conference programme will allow discussing the key issues of consistent operation of the Russian machine tool industry in the context of new challenges, and implementing optimal adaptation of the industry to the current changing realities.

Show Highlights

Belarus will be represented by the country’s leading plants and enterprises such as AMTengineering, Baranovichi Machine Tool Accessories Plant, BelTAPAZ Lathe Chuck Plant, NPO Vektor, Vi-Mens, Vistan, Gomel Machine Tool Units Plant, Gomselmash (a branch of the Gomel Plant of Special Instrument and Technological Equipment), Krasny Borets Machine Tool Plant, Kuzlitmash, Orshansk Instrument Making Plant, Ruchservomotor, Stankogomel, Kirov Machine-Tool Plant, STR, and Tsentrolit Gomel Foundry Plant.

The show’s product sectors cover all aspects of machine tool building and metalworking: intelligent new generation machine tool systems, automated lines, state-of-the-art metal machining and cutting equipment, tooling and accessories, innovative design developments, the latest software and much more.

In the Additive Manufacturing. Industrial 3D Printing section, manufacturers, integrators and users of professional and industrial 3D solutions will share their experiences in implementing a digital approach to manufacturing physical objects. The ability to produce products of virtually any complexity using 3D printing methods will greatly facilitate the work of engineers and designers in developing and designing future products. The sector will be located in Hall 3 of Pavilion No. 8. 

EXPOCENTRE arranges the Zone of Industry 4.0 in Pavilion No.4 with support of the National Union of Suppliers of Equipment and Tools for Metalworking.  The showcase and conference of the same name will bring together leaders in the digital transformation of the metalworking industry and promising young start-ups. The topics of the section will include modelling and visualisation, IoT, cloud services, robotics, AI, remote maintenance and much more.

The Welding and Related Technologies section will present international and Russian companies, developers, producers and suppliers of equipment and technologies for various types of welding, cutting, surfacing, automation and robotic processes.

Another major topic of Metalloobrabotka 2022 is Surface Treatment Equipment and Technology, which has expanded its presence this year and will present various types of metal surface treatment. 

A specialised section devoted to Science and Vocational Education will be presented by Russia’s leading universities. Their representatives will show their new developments and take part in the conference programme of Metalloobrabotka.

EXPOCENTRE will also organise a Subcontract Exchange, with support of the Yaroslavl Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the National Partnership for Subcontracting Development.  

Conference Programme

The conference programme of Metalloobrabotka 2022 will complement the show by focusing on topics that are now the most relevant for the Russian industry

A highlight of the programme will be a two-day Forum on the Potential and Prospects for the Machine Tool Industry in the New Economic Environment, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the Industry Project Management Centre with participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The forum will include

  • Plenary Meeting on the Potential and Prospects for the Machine Tool Industry in the New Economic Environment

  • Conference on Synchronising the Supply and Demand between Metalworking Equipment Manufacturers and Major Government Customers

  • Panel on the Priority Areas for the Development of the Tool Industry

  • Panel on the Problems Arising from the Confirmation of Production on the Territory of the Russian Federation and Ways of Solving Them. Alterations to Russian Government Resolution No.719

  • Panel on the Technological Sovereignty: Critical Technologies and Growth Points

  • Panel on the Technological Sovereignty: Staffing the Defense Industry

The Additive Manufacturing. Industrial 3D Printing section will include the INDUSTRY 3D: the International Forum on Additive Technologies and 3D Solutions. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and  Webconf, and will be attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. Its key topic will be additive and 3D technologies in modern industrial production. The 3D Forum will feature top experts who are ready to share their practical experience of developing, implementing and using current solutions and materials for additive manufacturing.

The important Conference on the Digital Transformation of the Metalworking Industry will be organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the National Union of Suppliers of Equipment and Tools for Metalworking.
