Member of the Swiss Government Mrs. Ineichen-Fleisch visits Metalloobrabotka’2012

May 30, Mrs. Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch, the State Secretary for Economy of Switzerland, attended the Metalloobrabotka’2012 international exhibition during her official visit to Russia.

Mrs. Ineichen-Fleisch visited the national exposition of Switzerland at Metalloobrabotka’2012. At the briefing, organized by the Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Industries SWISSMEM, the representative of the government of Switzerland noted the high importance of the Metalloobrabotka exhibition for the mechanical engineering industry, stressing that the visit of the Swiss business delegation was not accidently timed to the exhibition.

Swiss companies are interested in promotion of their products on the Russian market and in the expansion of business relations with Russian partners of the engineering industry using the possibilities of the main industry exhibition. In 1994 Swiss companies participated in the Metalloobrabotka exhibition for the first time. The area of the first collective exposition of Switzerland was 800 sq. m. and represented the stands of 49 exhibitors. This year the national pavilion of Switzerland presents 70 machine-tool companies displaying their potential at the area of 2000 sq. m.

The delegation included Pierre Helg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation in Russian Federation, Vladimir Gutenev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Industry, and the First Vice-President of Russian Industrial Employers Group – Russian Engineering Union, Sergey Vasiliev, the Director of the Department for Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the heads of Swiss companies and business associations.
