Carbide-tipped tools, plate bending machines, industrial furniture, tooling, and inventory management systems

27 / 04 / 2026

High-quality tools and state-of-the-art storage systems are essential for the efficient operation of machine-building companies and the entire industry as a whole. The tools market closely follows the general trends of the equipment market. According to the Rhythm of Mechanical Engineering publication in 2022, the volume of tool product consumption in Russia has more than doubled, from 24.8 billion rubles to 52.2 billion rubles. In this review, we present the products of Russian manufacturers: Tvintos Serpukhov Tool Plant and Promet NPO.

The Metalloobrabotka visitors, who are looking for equivalents of European manufacturers that have left the Russian market, will be interested in visiting the stand of Likon. The company presents a well-known Chinese brand of tools and inventory systems.

A wide range of carbide-tipped tools at the stand of Tvintos Serpukhov Tool Plant

Tvintos Serpukhov Tool Plant is a manufacturer of metal-cutting carbide-tipped tools. The company is a regular participant in Metalloobrabotka. It presents its traditional product range: rotary files, end mills, drills, countersinks, reamer bits, deep hole drilling tools, etc.

Tvintos Serpukhov Tool Plant is one of the few modern Russian companies with a full-cycle production of carbide-tipped tools. Today, the company operates sustainably, expanding its product line, introducing new equipment and state-of-the-art technologies, and engaging high-class professionals.
This year, Tvintos Serpukhov Tool Plant will present a wide range of products:

  • carbide rotary files of regular and high precision, used for processing materials of varying hardness, from aluminum to hardened steels,
  • carbide drills,
  • carbide end mills with the diameter of 0.8–32 mm of various profiles and geometries,
  • carbide countersinks
  • gun drills,
  • insert tool holders, and much more.

“We manufacture drills with the effective part diameters from 2 to 25 mm, industrial end mills, as well as professional rotary files,” says Vadim Vasilyev, Technical Director. “These tools are built to last under demanding production conditions. Our products are well known to Russian manufacturers, many of whom have been our partners for years: Uralvagonzavod, Ural Machine-Building Plant, Kaluga Turbine Plant, Power Machines, Atommash, Kerch Shipbuilding Plant, Perm Motor Plant, and many others. The products of Tvintos are supplied to more than 500 companies in various industries of Russia.

At the show, we are going to meet our partners who come from every region of the country each year, discuss collaboration, and catch up with industry colleagues. We would love to see everyone interested in quality, reliable tools at our stand!”

Promet NPO is actively increasing production, expanding capacity

The largest Russian manufacturer and distributor of safes, metal office, medical, and industrial furniture and equipment, Promet, has been successfully operating in the metalworking market for 35 years. It presents its products at the main industry platform almost every year. This year is no exception. The company has prepared several new products: metalworking and additive equipment, as well as industrial furniture.

Promet is known in the market, primarily as a manufacturer of safes of all protection grades (up to Grade 5 burglary resistance), as well as safe locks, metal furniture, medical furniture, shelving systems, doors, and plate bending machines. Today's product line includes more than 5,500 items.

The highlight of this year's display will be the Russian-language CNC electromechanical plate bending machines by the V-BEND brands: models 30-100, 20-60, and 12-44. The visitors will see the machines with an updated design and will also be able to evaluate the design improvements made to the flagship model 30-100: increased metal mass, as well as the incorporation of more reliable and advanced components not previously used in this product line.

The V-BEND design takes all the operational requirements into account:

  • a fully welded, milled bed guarantees high rigidity and stability of the machine,
  • a deflection compensation system equipped with servo drives and ball screws ensures precise movement of the crossbeam and the carriage with stops,
  • the Russian-language CNC system is an in-house development of Promet. The interface includes 2D visualization of the bend, making machine control user-friendly even for novice operators.

Industrial furniture will also be presented, including workbenches, tool cabinets, and a new addition to the product line–the Profi ESD anti-static table, designed for working with electronic components.

V-BEND machines are manufactured at a state-of-the-art facility in Tula region, where advanced quality control methods are applied at every stage, from laser cutting and welding to heat treatment and final assembly. A standout feature is the 3D scanning of machine components after each stage. This allows for the detection and correction of potential deviations before final assembly, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the equipment.

Currently, Promet manufactures machines with a force of up to 100 tons and a bending length of up to 3 meters. Among the new offerings is the V-PRINT industrial metal 3D printer, which expands the company's additive manufacturing capabilities.

V-BEND electromechanical plate bending machines are used at industrial companies, as well as in research and educational institutions and research and production companies.

It is important that the equipment is actively used at Promet’s in-house production facilities. This allows for rapid adjustments to the design and confirmation of the effectiveness of solutions in real operating conditions.

Near-term plans include a launch of new production phases

Promet is currently ramping up production. More than 10 machines are manufactured each month. And the company is expanding its capacity and building new production stages.

Expanding the metalworking equipment product line is among the company's key priorities. The V-PUNCH, a CNC automatic coordinate-punching line, has already been developed, and an automated panel bending machine is currently in the works.

The company is showing steady growth. Last year, machine sales doubled, reflecting strong demand for Russian-made equipment. Promet’s personnel is looking forward to providing the visitors with detailed insights into the advantages of their products and presenting attractive opportunities.

Likon reveals the mechanisms of cost-cutting and efficiency with new tools and monitoring systems

The Likon brand entered the Russian market just over ten years ago. It has since significantly strengthened its position as a supplier of tools, accessories, and industrial equipment from top global manufacturers. The company is a regular exhibitor at Metalloobrabotka. This year will be no exception.

The brand's stand will showcase the latest developments aimed at optimizing production cycles. The visitors will not only receive professional guidance from managers on selecting metal-cutting tools but will also be able to explore the functions and see devices in action such as a presetter and a sharpening machine.

Another highlight is the tool line from the Chinese brand Niche, of which Likon has been the exclusive supplier for several years. Likon successfully supplies a broad range of Niche products to companies in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. In May, the company will demonstrate two smart cabinets for automated tool issuance and inventory tracking. Key advantages of this equipment include the ability to use passwords, access cards, and biometrics, searching for inventory items by name, personal number, or photo catalog, and supporting stock replenishment, inventory management, testing, and data entry.

Throughout the show, Likon’s personnel will be available at the stand to provide technical and technological support. Upon customer request, they will develop and enhance manufacturing processes and propose cost-effective solutions.

According to Likon’s experts, the key advantage lies in selecting the right tool as this enables customers to make substantial savings right at the purchasing stage without sacrificing quality or performance. This is achieved through efficient collaboration with manufacturers and no overpayment for branding.
