The machine tool industry plays a strategic role in strengthening the technological sovereignty of our country. In his address to the Federal Assembly this year, the President of Russia identified the task of developing manufacturing facilities as one of the key ones: by 2030, we need to achieve technological sovereignty in cross-cutting areas that ensure the sustainability of the country’s entire economy. This includes machine tools and robotics. This task is crucial both for the Ministry of Industry and Trade and for the entire machine tool industry.
Today Russian manufacturers are actively developing, their innovative solutions were demonstrated to Anton Alikhanov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Among them Welder Mini laser welding machine and the SIRIUS machine for processing thick sheet materials from the Lassard; digital CNC system designed to control metalworking machines of any type at the enterprises of aviation, nuclear, automotive and other industries from Mehatronika; VMB 63 five-axis machine tool and UTS-300 ultraprecision turning and milling machine from the STAN Holding; VFC 800 five-axis machining centre and Astrei A150 selective laser melting system from UZTS; new milling machining centre from Sasta Machine-Tool Plant; AT DRIVE 675*126T electric motor from Android Technics SPA, HARZA and GRIZON servodrives from InnoDrive.
Moreover, additive technologies were presented at Metalloobrabotka 2024. Rosatom State Corporation demonstrated RusMelt 310M printer that prints metal using selective laser fusion technology; Institute of Laser and Welding Technologies (ILWT) presented a mobile arc surfacing unit; Additive Technologies Center exhibited their printed parts for the aviation industry; several manufacturers such as ONSINT, 3DLAM, NPO 3D-Integration, Reditive DB, Tomsk Polytechnic University and Samara University, demonstrated their products at the stand of the Association for Additive Technologies Development.
The above-mentioned enterprises created their developments as part of state support mechanisms of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
It is important to note that the Ministry is currently working on the development of the Production and Automation Facilities national project to achieve technological leadership. The new national project will improve the existing mechanisms for supporting industries, as well as create new measures of state support for Russian manufacturers.
Metalloobrabotka 2024 runs until 24 May.
