Machine tool manufacturers summed up the Year of Science and Technology

A conference organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the Stanki-Expo international online exhibition was held today at Expocentre Fairgrounds as part of the Metalloobrabotka 2022 conference programme. In eleven presentations participants of the conference introduced to colleagues the products of their companies.

Alexey Peskov, General Director of Stanki-Expo OOO, who led the conference, stressed that the previous year 2021 was the Year of Science and Technology. That is why the conference is called “Metalloobrabotka 2022 as a mirror of the Year of Science and Technology 2021” and where the innovative domestic developments are presented.

"The oldest machine tool plant, founded in 1935, is Vladimir Machine Tool Plant Tekhnika, a manufacturer of high-precision machine tools. The plant produces unique machine tools, in particular, five models were developed last year," Alexey Peskov noted.

Alexander Tyurin, lead designer of the Vladimir Machine Tool Plant, spoke about the products of the plant. In his presentation he drew attention to the modular principles of creating precision machines for external and internal grinding, grinding machines for external and internal threading, special machines for grinding, drilling, cutting, etc. "By creating complex precision machines to solve specific tasks faced by companies, we are actually replacing the machines of leading foreign firms, competing with them in terms of performance, accuracy and cost," said the speaker.

Andrey Kostenko, Deputy Director of Balt-Systems, presented a report on "Solutions for application of Balt-Systems products for various types of equipment and machines". He spoke about new applications of CNC systems for machine tools.

New technologies and promising ideas were also shared by heads of such machine tool plants and enterprises as PKF Stankoservice OOO, Ryazan Machine Tool Association, STP-SASTA, Stankozavod TBS, StankoMashStroy, Blum-Novotest, Lipetsk Machine Tool Plant, BARUFFALDI Spa (Italy), ChelyabNIIKontrol. They informed their colleagues about lathes for machining long parts, the production of machines with operational control systems on the example of innovative SMART lathes and milling machines, the companies' achievements in CNC automatic inspection, multifunctional measuring instruments and systems for dimensional control in metalworking and much more.

Each presentation was followed by a lively discussion.
