Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009, an international exhibition for modern materials processing technologies, intelligent machine tools, equipment and instruments takes place at Expocentre Fairgrounds on 25-29 May.

The Exhibition is co-organized by Expocentre and the Russian Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers Stankoinstrument. The event is held with the support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow Government.

The list of exhibitors includes  550 companies from 27 countries, namely Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Japan, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the USA.

Belarus, Czechia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan will arrange national expositions.

Though the machine-building sector has been seriously affected by the global economic downturn, most of the industry’s companies, both from Russia and abroad, will be exhibiting at Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009. World-known machine-building manufacturers such as Amada, Balluff, Galika, Gertner, Grob-Werke, Man Ferrostaal, Mori Seiki, Mueller Machines, Reishauer, Skoda, Trumpf, Toshulin, and Willemin Macodel feature in the list of overseas exhibitors.

Among 350 Russian participants are such leaders of the domestic engineering industry as Ivanovo Heavy Machine-Building Plant, Krasny Proletariy (Red Proletariat) Enterprise, Ryazan Machine-Building Plant, SASTA OAO, Savyolovsky Engineering Plant, Sedin ZAO, Krasnodar Machine-Building Plant, Stan-Samara ZAO, Sterlitamak Machine-Building Plants, just to name a few. Russia’s tool-makers will traditionally demonstrate their products at the Tools of Russia integrated display.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 will occupy the exhibition area of Pavilions Nos. 1, 2, 3, 8 and the open air spaces of Expocentre Fairgrounds. Included on the stands will be intelligent machine-tool units; high-tech metal cutting, press-forging and welding equipment; advanced metal cutting tools, components and production tooling, advanced industrial automation systems and software

The accompanying event programme includes a first-ever international forum entitled “Modern Trends in Metalworking Technology and Metalworking Machinery Design”. The Forum is intended for the industry’s professionals to discuss the latest trends in the development of metalworking technology and application of new materials. The event will also cover issues relating to the provision of scientific support for the industry, introduction of nanotechnology and employment.

The Science, Vocational Training and Production Section will highlight the sectoral research potential and engineering education issues. Russia’s leading universities, scientific research institutes and centres will present their developments for the machine-building industry.

On 27 May Pavilion No. 2 (Hall 3) will accommodate a Subcontract Exchange, arranged with assistance from the Moscow City Small Business Support and Development Department. The project is held within the 9th All-Russia Conference of Small and Mid Size Businesses and is aimed at expanding cooperation among small, mid and large industrial enterprises located in Moscow, Russian regions and abroad.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 serves as a connecting link between the two industry tradeshows of Metalloobrabotka and Technoforum. Russian machine-building enterprises strongly require technical upgrading, and specialized exhibitions play a key role in fulfilling this task. Therefore Expocentre and the Russian Association Stankoinstrument, the co-organizers of the event, have decided to run Metalloobrabotka annually, starting from 2010. Over the years it has been the focal exhibition for the engineering and metalworking industries.

Opening hours: 10.00am - 6.00pm

29 May: 10.00am – 4.00pm
