May 25-29, 2009 Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009, the International Exhibition for Modern Materials Processing Technologies, Intelligent Machine Tools, Equipment and Instruments runs at Expocentre Fairgrounds and occupies Pavilions No. 1,2,3,8 and open-air sites of the venue. Co- organized by Expocentre and the Russian Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers Stankoinstrument, the event is held with the official support and the assistance of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Engineering Union, the European Committee for Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO), and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 serves as a connecting link between the two industry trade shows of Metalloobrabotka and Technoforum.

The list of exhibitors includes over 550 companies from 27 countries Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Belarus, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA.

The Exhibition thematic sections feature all the fields of the industry directed to solving the most important tasks facing the Russian machine-building sector. And at the same time the Exhibition structure provides an optimal opportunity to combine interests of both the Russian production and consumers’ market with those of their foreign partners.

Participation of five global leading industry associations, namely AFM (Spain), SWISSMEM (Switzerland), SST (Czechia), TAMI (Taiwan) and VDW (Germany) confirm a high status of the Exhibition. Exhibitors from China and the Republic of Belarus will present their products at collective expositions.

Among the foreign exhibitors are such world-known companies as Amada, Balluff, Galika, Gertner, Grob-Werke, Man Ferrostaal, Mori Seiki, Mueller Machines, Reishauer, Skoda, Trumpf, Toshulin, and Willemin Macodel.

The list of Russian participating companies comprises over 350 machine-tool and engineering enterprises including Ivanovo Heavy Machine-Tool Building Plant, Krasnodar Machine-Tool Building Plant, Krasny Proletariy OAO, Ryazan Machine-Tool Building Plant, SASTA OAO, Savyolovsky Engineering Plant, Sedin ZAO, Stan-Samara ZAO, Sterlitamak Machine-Tool Building Plant, just to name a few.

The total exposition space of the Exhibition will amount over 35, 000 sq m.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 features intelligent machine systems; high-tech metal cutting, press-forging and welding equipment of new generation; advanced metal cutting tool, jigging and utility; advanced systems of industrial automation for the engineering sector enterprises; and the latest software.

Russia’s leading tool-making companies will traditionally demonstrate their products at the Tools of Russia integrated display.

The tight schedule of accompanying events comprises conferences, seminars, round tables, plenary sessions and presentations of advanced metal-processing technology. The first-ever international forum entitled “Modern Trends in Metalworking Technology and Metalworking Machinery Design” will be held as part of the Exhibition event programme as well. The Exhibition-related events are intended for Russian and foreign participants to discuss the latest development trends in metalworking, application of nanotechnology and advanced materials, scientific support for the industry, employment and other issues.  

May 27 a Subcontract Exchange, arranged with the assistance of the Moscow Department of Small-Scale Business Support and Development will work in pavilion No. 2 (Hall 3). The project is held within the 9th All-Russian conference of small and medium-sized enterprises representatives “Small and medium-scale business as an important factor of a guarantee of social stability and economic development under crisis conditions” and aimed at expanding and developing business relations between small, medium and large-scale industrial enterprises in Moscow, the Russian Federation regions and foreign countries.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 includes the Science, Vocational Training and Production specialized thematic section co-organized by the Stankoinstrument Association and Expocentre, with the assistance of the Technical Universities Association. The project is aimed at carrying out joint agreements to tackle scientific challenges facing the Russian industry. The Section features scientific developments of Russia’s engineering universities; provides for meetings with managers of leading companies and senior engineering students; participation in scientific conferences and vocational seminars held by engineering researchers.

Metalloobrabotka-Technoforum’2009 will serve as a platform for new markets to develop and the participants to establish business contacts with industry specialists from all over the globe. Leaders in the field of machine building will offer new decisions and service packages; innovation products and technologies, which are undoubtedly important for the further development of the domestic engineering industry.

The official opening ceremony will take place in Blue Hall, Pavilion 2 at 12:00 on 25 May 2009.
