26 / 05 / 2022

At the 22nd international exhibition Metalloobrabotka 2022, a cooperation agreement was signed in the presence of Alexei Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, between the investor, Modern Foundry Technologies, and the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. A new enterprise for the production of machine tools will be established in the Far East. The import-substituting project is planned to be implemented in partnership with Asian equipment manufacturers and with the use of state support mechanisms in the region.

"Today, the Far East has created ideal conditions for the implementation of high-tech projects that make the economy import-independent. The region has the country's best system of incentives and preferences for business, which has already been used by more than 3,100 Russian companies implementing industrial and infrastructure projects worth RUB 7.4 trillion. The Far East borders major Asian countries, particularly China, which is one of the world's leaders in machine tool manufacturing. The opening in the Far East of domestic production of machine tools and components in cooperation with strong Asian partners will be an important step towards developing the infrastructure of the Russian machine tool industry," said Alexei Chekunkov.
