The largest machine-tool Forum Metalloobrabotka’2012 successfully opens at Expocentre Fairgrounds

May 28, Expocentre launched the 13th International Exhibition for Equipment, Instruments and Tools for the Metal-Working Industry – Metalloobrabotka’2012.

The Metalloobrabotka exhibition is a large-scale event, which gained prestige in Russia and abroad. The exhibition is awarded with the labels of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, and enjoys well-deserved authority among international companies producing machine tools and metal-working equipment.

 

Mikhail Tolkachev, the Deputy General Director of Expocentre, welcomed the participants on behalf of the organizers of the exhibition – Expocentre and the Stankoinstrument Russian Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers. He noted that the Metalloobrabotka exhibition brought together 887 exhibitors from 35 countries this year, and the record number of Russian participants of the exhibition – about 600 machine-tool enterprises from Russia – took part in the exhibition.

The exhibition is officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and is held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government.

 

Sergey Sobko, the Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Industry, stressed in his speech that the Metalloobrabotka exhibition was rapidly expanding and the current review was a record. Without derogation of the advantages of other industrial shows, he emphasized that the Metalloobrabotka exhibition was a core exhibition, because the metal working industry is a base for the development of the real sector of economy, technical and technological basis of all innovations.

Attention to the Metalloobrabotka exhibition on the part of power structures has not abated. Sergey Sobko assured that the representative and executive branches of government would be in close work so that all the ideas represented at the exhibition would receive support and development.

 

Igor Malyshev, the Head of the Department of Industry and Infrastructure of the Government of the Russian Federation, welcomed the participants and organizers of the exhibition on behalf of executive bodies and the Government of the Russian Federation. He also noted that the Russian government paid serious attention to the development of the domestic machine-tool construction, which should play a significant role in realization of programs of modernization of the national economy and in implementing the decisions made by the government.

Nikolai Kolomeitsev, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Social Policy, emphasized the importance of the leading industry exhibition Metalloobrabotka’2012 and wished the domestic machine-tool enterprises to restore its position on the world market, and called the foreign companies for bolder cooperation with Russian companies in the development of high technologies.

 

The Metalloobrabotka exhibition was held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation as one of the most significant industry events, said Aleksandr Rybakov, the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The Metalloobrabotka exhibition is a gem of the exhibition programme of Expocentre Fairgrounds. The logo of UFI testifies to its quality and this means that each participant in the exhibition can count on successful promotion of showcased machines, equipment, technologies, on the cooperation.

The Metalloobrabotka exhibition is one of the largest and most popular trade shows, which annually gathers together the leaders of the industry. It is a platform not only for the demonstration of achievements, but also the exchange of experience between partners and colleagues, noted Leonid Govorov, the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

170 of 600 Russian participants of the exhibition this year are Moscow companies. Anna Brineva, the Deputy Chairman of Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow City, welcomed the participants, organizers and guests of the exhibition on behalf of the Moscow City Government.

Georgiy Samodurov, the President of Russian Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers Stankoinstrument, speaking on behalf of the Russian machine-tool community wished the leading industry exhibition every success. He also noted that the modernization policy increased value of the Metalloobrabotka exhibition. Here one can see the implementation of important national programs, get information about modern trends in designing the new equipment and technologies.

Manfred Liebl, the Representative of the Saxony Federal Economy Ministry, congratulated both the Russian and foreign participants of the Metalloobrabotka’2012.

 

The official opening ceremony was attended also by Nicolai Panichev, the Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian Association of Machine-Tool Manufacturers Stankoinstrument, who had taken a significant role in the formation and development of the Russian machine-tool industry, and other honorary guests.

The guests visited the exposition after the ceremony.

The Metalloobrabotka’2012 exposition is arranged in Pavilions Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, Forum and in the open area of Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The exhibition is open May 28 – 31 from 10.00 till 18.00; June 1 from 10.00 till 16.00.
