3M Russia invites to conference titled ‘Current State of Metalworking: Problems and Prospects’A conference titled ‘Current State of Metalworking: Problems and Prospects’ will take place at Expocentre Fairgrounds on May 15, 2017 on the sidelines of the Metalloobrabotka 2017 International Exhibition. The conference will address topical aspects of the industry development by means of efficient and productive metalworking technologies.

According to the Federal State Statistic Service, industrial production in Russia grew by 1.1% year-on-year in 2016. The Central Federal District posted a 4.6% growth, alongside a decline in the economically active population. It would be impossible to expect further industrial growth by intensive use of labor force under those circumstances, besides, this approach may have negative implications for workers’ health and undesirable economic consequences. The use of innovative technologies which can increase labor productivity several times and reduce costs would be a better solution.

Leading industry professionals will convene to confer on ways of raising labor productivity. They will look at risks and development prospects of the Russian metalworking industry and will analyze successful examples of production modernization. The company will enjoy support of 3M Company, a developer of industrial solutions.

Participation in the conference is free.
