Gleb Nikitin: the Metalloobrabotka2013 exhibition has exceeded all expectations

After seeing the exposition of the Metalloobrabotka2013 exhibition at Expocentre Fairgrounds, Gleb Nikitin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation, is positive that there is apparent progress of the domestic machine-tool industry. Both the statistics of the participants of the exhibition, which is a member of the worlds ten largest industrial shows, and the exhibits displayed at the event testify to this fact. Among 1200 companies from 40 countries of the world there are 700 leading Russian machine-tool builders, organizations and engineering firms.

Gleb Nikitin noted that more than 20 stands demonstrate samples developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade within the adopted in 2011 six-year program of development of the machine-tool industry.

He emphasized that the Ministry was currently conducting an audit of the results of implementation of the first phase of the programme (20112013), and will shortly start the formation of the second phase themes of the works (20142016). Special attention is paid to the system integration, the development of the market of engineering services, and the engineering of a full cycle in Russia as a whole and in the corporate perimeter of companies with state participation. In particular, the Rostech State Corporation has a task to create a full-fledged system integrator, which would work on associativity of the programme of military-industrial complex with the programme of the development of machine-tool industry.

More than 13 billion rubles are allocated for the implementation of the whole programme of the machine-tool industry development, and 6 billion rubles for the second phase of the programme. These budget funds will be spent on research, experimental-design works, as well as on the investment projects focused on the production design, informed Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Gleb Nikitin also noted the high potential of domestic machine-tool industry. According to him, the exhibition Metalloobrabotka2013 presents the machine-tools of Russian production, exported to the countries, which are traditionally strong in the machine-tool industry, including the USA and Europe. Domestic machine-tool industry has a capacity for real competitiveness, added Gleb Nikitin.

I have absolutely bright and positive impression of the exhibition. The show exceeded my expectations. I hope the exhibition will continue further development, and will result in contracts for the supply of samples, developed with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, stated Deputy Minister.

He assured that the government has a high level of attention to this unique industry, which is not only a major platform for all other industries, but also the basis for the transition to a new technological system.
